What is the Microsoft AI Bootcamp for Educators?

Who can attend the Microsoft AI Bootcamp for Educators?

The MSLE Foundational AI Bootcamp is aimed at those educators and faculty members at higher education institutions that offer accredited degree, diploma, certificate, or continuing or further education programs, such as colleges, universities, community colleges, polytechnics, and TVETS. These bootcamps are also beneficial for educators at secondary schools with STEM focused curriculum.

The MSLE AI Foundational Bootcamp is designed for faculty and educators who provide training to students in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), AI, and other related programs aimed at those looking to incorporate and build AI skills into their curriculum.

What does an AI Bootcamp for Educators session look like?

The MSLE Foundational AI Bootcamp training includes three sessions:

Session 1: One in-person 3.5-hour introduction event to be scheduled at an agreed upon date, time, and location. The agenda includes:

  • Overview of the MSLE AI Bootcamp
  • Step-by-step, hands-on orientation to access and use the classroom materials, benefits, resources, and content related to AI available through the Microsoft Learn for Educators (MSLE) program.
  • Student Employment
  • Resources and Next Steps
  • SkillUp Challenge hands-on activity exploring and experiencing generative AI using Copilot (and your own creativity)

Sessions 2 and 3: Two 3-hour virtual trainings via Teams on delivering Microsoft AI courses and enhancing AI training programs. The agendas include:

Session 2AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals Course in the Classroom (includes review of Microsoft Learn for Educators teaching resources)

  • Microsoft Official Courseware (MOC)
  • Gaining Practical Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Services
  • Exam Preparation – Microsoft Learn Practice Assessments

Session 3AI-102: Designing and implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution Course in the Classroom (includes review of Microsoft Learn for Educators teaching resources

  • Moving from AI-900 to AI-102
